What is Fortnite Party Assist?
The Party Assist feature was added to Fortnite in Season 8 and helps players level up faster by making it easier to complete challenges. Challenges provide the most amount of XP and are the fastest way of leveling up to earn those Battle Pass stars.
Some challenges, however, can be tough to complete because they may require you to complete certain tasks like eliminating a player in a specific part of the map. This is where Party Assist comes into play.
It allows you to share Fortnite assist challenges with your friends playing with you in duos, trios, or squads. This way, if anyone on your friend's list progresses on a challenge, you will also earn XP on it. Can't get kills? Join up with a friend who is good at the game and let him do all the kills-related challenges for you!
What Challenges can I use Party Assist on?
Fortnite only allows you to use Party Assist to complete the Daily Challenges. This is both good and bad news since it will enable players to accept their friends' help in achieving some quests, but only in Daily Challenges.
While Fortnite does make it a little easier for you to complete challenges, it doesn't allow you to use Party Assist for all of them. In fact, most of the challenges that players want to complete are the Weekly Challenges since they provide the most amount of XP for leveling up. Unfortunately, Fortnite Party Assist can not be used to complete the weekly challenges.
If you want to make sure what challenges you can use Fortnite Party Assist on, there is a visible indication in the game as well. When you are in a party with your friends, you can go into the Quests section and click on Daily Challenges.
On some challenges, you'll see a 'friends' icon visible on the top left side. These are the challenges that you can complete through Fortnite Party Assist. The challenges that don't have this icon cannot be completed using the help of your friends.
Has Fortnite Party Assist Changed?
Fortnite Party Assist has changed a little bit in Season 4. Previously, you had to manually activate a challenge you wanted to complete through the help of Party Assist Fortnite. Now the game does not require you to manually activate any challenge. You can just hop into the game and any relevant challenge will progress automatically whenever your friend completes the task required.
How To Turn on Party Assist on Fortnite?
As we mentioned earlier, you do not need to manually turn on Party Assist Fortnite to be able to use it for any challenge. Go to the Quests tab in your game and check out the challenges you need to complete.
Then make sure you are in a Party with your friends, drop into a game of Fortnite. You'll successfully be able to take advantage of your friends' progression in-game to complete your challenge!
Every time your friend earns progress on a challenge, it will appear on your screen. This should make completing challenges much easier and allow you to earn more XP.
- Can I use Fortnite Party Assist on Weekly Challenges? Unfortunately, you cannot use Party Assist in Fortnite to complete Weekly challenges. This option is only accessible in Daily Challenges.
- Can I use Fortnite Party Assist on multiple Challenges at the same time? Yes, you can use Party Assist on all Daily Challenges simultaneously.
